Jasmine - I think it went well. Our group worked collaboratively and we were able to work out our total amount. The downside to our group was that, we sometimes split up and we also sometimes disagreed on some things. Otherwise, we worked well. We all learned how to work together effectively, had equal air time and also we learned how to subtract and add decimals. 

Taanvi - For collaborating i give 8/10 because at some times we went wondering to another group but we still had time to share our ideas and we also made our party creative. We made our game creative by adding a candy scavenger hunt and get to play charades.

Vrishti - My opinion in this activity was positive because we all participated equaly and we had a lot of creativity in our final copy! but sometimes we would walk to other groups and waste our time talking and mucking around.Overall I would say we collaborated effectivly and used our time wisley as we had a limited amount of time.

Prisha - I liked how we did the sequence  of the party to go with it to show that we had planned a proper party and just not the budget. Aside that the collaboration wasn't quite good. Because when Vrishti was sharing she didn't know what to share. So that clearly told us that we weren't good collaborators

Magestika The Magical Unicorn

                                                             

This is Magestika and she is a beautiful and kind unicorn who always helps anyone in need.In my story she is best friends with Chloe,Magestika and Chloe both meet secretly at the butterfly garden..but why secretly its because Chloe is a human being and Magestika is a unicorn so why is that a problem?...Well the unicorn society has their own rules and one of their rules are that unicorns cannot be seen by any kind of human beings.This rule began on one rainy day when the king and queen had their first baby,they were all a happy family until one day the baby unicorn crawled out of its royal crib all the way to the entrance of the castle and slowly wormed its way outside this time not out of castle...its outside of the border.On the other side of the border lives the humans who saw the princess and was mesmerized by what they had seen so they immediately called the museum people and spoke to them about the amazing and breathtaking creature that they had found! Once they had reached there they locked up the poor baby unicorn in a glass with 100% unbreakable glass and very strict security!On the other side the King and Queen both realized that their daughter was not in their crib and so when the guards finally told what had happened then the King and Queen knew what they had to do.So that is why Magestika and Chloe are very alertive and very cautious of where and when they meet!

Speeches 2016

For the last past two weeks LH3 and the other habitats have been working and presenting their speeches.I have been sick for a week and so for me I had a long way to catch up with the other competitors aka my friends!At home with my family I managed to get my speech printed and also got my Q cards done right before the speeches.My time to shine was nerve-racking and I felt Butterflies in my stomach!The preasure was real,In my mind I could sense the bad feeling coming into my mouth about the fact that i was about to say i was not ready but i had to be otherwise my reputation would go down not only for me but for my family which they worked so hard to get my speech done and all the hard work going into vain was not my thing so i decided to not think about so much and to go on and be confident enough to say my speech.Thanks to aleena,mervlyn,jasmine and margaret to help me get ready in time for the speeches.They helped me to practise my speech less than 10 mins away from the time,my heart was pumping faster than ever, I even skipped a few heart beats however my nervousness wouldn't ever go away! Have you ever had that feeling when you feel confident from the outside but honestly from inside you start exploding from all the bad dream and imaginative thoughts that comes into your minds ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh I really don't know how my speech went but my friends it was good,I know that they are lying and trying to make me feel better because i had felt the mistakes that i thought to never feel!Even though the speeches are finished but my heart still beats faster than ever can you feel what i feel?That feeling still runs through my veins!

My Olympic dream sport

One of my dream sports is dodgeball I have always liked playing it and I will always continue to play it! It would really cool if this game was a part of the Olympic games because then there would have been a slight opportunity for me to train for.I have always let myself down thinking I was a bad player weather if it was a different sport but for dodgeball I have considered myself being good at it. A good way for me to train for dodgeball would be to take part in cross country so then it would be easier for me to doge the ball and run away from it,another way is to get a friend and play pass with a ball or join a game like netball and basketball to increse your capabilities!

My reflection for my iExplore.

For my iExplore I had chosen a habitat pet and my big question was will getting a habitat pet benefit us? because firstly my iExplore was about to introduce a pet to the habitat but then it didn't go so well but then I decided to research facts about them and also think about the future so when i do decide to bring a pet,I would have feel more experienced and I could handle a problem with ease!


So what: I learnt a lot about pets and how they can help us like... dogs can help blind people by guiding them to places and where they need go,also dogs are loyal to humans and much more!

Now what: I think my steps would be to be more organised and a bit straight forward about he topic that I had chosen!

My proud achievement!

Today in the afternoon LH3 did p.e but a bit differently we all practised for cross country that is coming up this term and we did a exercise call the beep test which meant that we run when we hear a beep from either a horn or a computer sound effect. Unfortunately I did not do as well as everyone else but hey there is always another opportunity to improve! Overall I am proud of my self that I tried my best and did not give up when I slowed down.

My short maths reflection

Today maths was #Oresome because I attended the the right workshops at the right time at the right place and guess what I had also completed my capability tasks within the time we had until iBreak 2.

Ormiston primary school's trip to the temple.

Last week Ormiston primary school went on a trip to the fo Guan Shan temple in flat bush.We all started off at school with getting our group numbers from our lovely learning coaches and then we all went down stairs for the #Oresome ride on the bus.On our ride we all sang and my friends did a lot of musicals basically a musical is an app called music.ly and it's an app that you do musical on.When we arrived we quickly got organised in our groups and while we were waiting for the younger learners we learnt about the 3 g's and 4 g's.The 3 g's are:Do good deeds,say good words and think good thoughts,the 4 g's are give others hope,give others courage,give other convenience and give others joy.After a while the junior learners had come then joined us that's when we started to move and start taking a tour of the massive temple.Inside the temple was amazingly beautiful and everything inside was placed like I was in a queens castle!After the tour we headed of to where we had come and recalled some of the things we had learnt like the 3 g's or the 4 g's.Once all the groups had come back we all went back towards the bus and came back to school when its was iBreak 2 and after the day was over we all finally returned safely home sweet home!
Thank you educators and learning coaches for an extraordinary trip to the most beautiful temple I have ever seen.

My reflection for this week.

This week was a cool week because some visitors came on Wednesday to talk about Ormiston primary and to announce a special announcement.Did you know that we were also on one news,My friend aleena who was doing a speech was super scared because she did not want to mess up!She also got her way on t.v and so was I well kind of because I was all the way back  in the corner of the multi space.Anyways the special announcement was about getting more features in the school like extending the building.After the hui we all went back into the habitat and then started iExplore after the day was over I went over to shivins house and had a lot of fun their!

My reflection for today

Today I enjoyed my literacy because me and jasmine completed our capability task for our workshop and we didn't get in trouble.Me and jasmine face timed in the weekends and talked about our capability task and also did what we needed to do.At my iExplore workshop we looked over our capability tasks some people did it and some didn't but luckily for those people they got a bit of time to complete it.One thing I should work on is that I shouldn't do school work for home learning in fact I should have done it at I read time with jasmine!I wonder that if LH3 could build its trust to do most of the things at home so it would be easer for the learning coaches and our selfs that would come under managing self and looking after yourself.I kind of had a rough day with friends because we had a little misunderstanding with road patrolling and who's doing what so I guess we solved it in the end by trying to understand each other's feeling and understandings.buuut Learning time was #Oresome  because I had learnt something with my workshops and also understood what my capability tasks ver well

My days iReflect + Special news!

Today I had a normal day as usual,I did my attendance,finished editing my previous post and went to town hall to start my day off but wait lets get to the exciting part which is when we all walked off to waiata hui where we surprisingly met a visitor.The visitor was from ormiston junior collage next door to ormiston primary school,he was here to give out certificates to the learners who had participated in the ormiston junior collage logo competition and also to announce the winner who is going to get 100 bucks(dollars).So first he introduced himself and then started to hand out the certificates first he called                                     
out:Maanvi,Mervlyn,Ashmira,and Seletine from LH1,then lastly MY name I had almost forgotten I actually took part in that competition because it was last term!anyways once he had called my name I was completely shocked but that wasn't the actual shocking part because after I had stood up while going to the center to collect my certificate the visitor had announced ME as the overall winner,I almost shed tears of joy THINKING about it yes it was only a dream just KIDDING!.I just couldn't believe it was happening in reality if you were in my place you feel the same because its a proud moment of your LIFE.Once the day the day was over I couldn't stop myself from telling my mom and my dad also including THE NEIGHBORS! you might be thinking Vrishti you might have gone slightly MAD yes but I can't resist the happiness of 100 DOLLARS!

My days iReflect!

Today I had a #Oresome day because I did my geometry challenge and my Anzac challenge all at home 11:00 in the night.My day today in the morning started off great as always with Aleena because she is an early bird and so am I.In the morning me and Ale (Aleena's nickname)went into the car park and started looking for our other friends then came ash,Mervlyn,Jasmine,Nisita and Prisha. My friends and i then went into our habitat for iExplore but most of us got called to NZSL which stands for New Zealand sign language.Mrs Koybayashi called me,Ale,Ash,Mervlyn,Nisita and Jasmine to a corner where she signed and James(the interpreter) voiced for us.The reason we were called there was because we were chosen for being the NZSL activity leaders for sign language week.After we had all practised our activities we came back to our habitat but by then everyone switched to literacy so we all got out what we had needed and went to the maker space to start working on our literacy but of course I had finished so I decided to do a bonus.I am still working on my bonus but I will get back to it tomorrow when I will help Jasmine for hers because she asked if I could lend her a helping hand so I did.Tomorrow me and jazzy (sorry its her nickname) will be drawing our poppy's and gluing it into our books where our definition is.Our question is about why is the red poppy a remembrance of ANZAC day? On that question me and jazzy collaborated because we wanted to help each other.After we had been half way through our definitions and drawing we got called for Tom and Jerry literacy group with Mrs.Pearson,at that workshop we were learning to notice details,infer and read between the lines.Then after the workshop it was iActive time so we all went down the stairs and into our groups,I was in the black group and guess who was the leader"ASH" who is my friend as you know but any ways we played crab tag and in crab tag I was a tagger. When I came back we were mad tired and we went of to play with the others!After break time we did some iRead and maths but of course i had finished my geometry challenge so i was confused to what to do next that's when i decided to ask someone suddenly i bumped into someone while walking,what a coincident it was Mervlyn and she told me that I hadn't completed my geometry challenge because we had to make a book for the junior kids using the geometry challenge and that's when my confusion went away and back came my nervousness because Mrs.Pearson had just shook the tambourine for the next iBreak but luckily Mrs.Jensen said that we could stay in to complete our work.After Mrs.Pearson and Mrs.Jensen had dismissed everyone then me and Nisita went o complete our uncompleted work and then once we had finished iBreak was over so we didn't have lunch but anyways when everyone was back we all tidied up and left for home time.I had kind of a interesting day because it wasn't that bad and it wasn't that good either so it was a in between day I guess!

My iExplore iReflection

Today I tried to do as much iExplore as I can in the session,and i did.We worked on brainstorming ideas and answering questions we came up the other day.

What: Me and Taanvi are giving a care package to fiji as the cyclone had destroyed some of the innocent peoples houses.We are sending a tone of good stuff to help them retrive the happiness they desserve. 

So What: Well what we are doing a good thing to do when a country like this gets hit by a cyclone!

Now What: We are fineshing off our connected zone which is explore and brainstorm then we are moving on to the curiousity zone which is focus and inquire.

i thought i used my iExplore time really wisely because i got alot of work done than i expected too so i hope to continue my iExplore sessions very wisley!

Todays iExpleriance

For todays iExpleriance i continued my tinkercad design for my luchnbox it was amazing to see the new updates and cool effects you could do.Here is a picture of my efforts.This took alot of time to measure and come up with a sustainable lunchbox design.My first design in my book didnt come out that well as i expected it to so i decided to go with technology as in online creativity.I made another design last year with mrs.dillner it was so much fun to recolect memorys from last year!!! Cant wait to do it again.

Todays science club was epic because we had repeated what we did last time the mentos and the coke experiment but todays was even cooler.This time me and shreya were buddys and was in the meteroligy group.First we did our reaserch and gathered up more infomation than last time and tryed to do it a little bit differently than before.Last week we did not shake it up but today we did and it worked really differently.The coke exploded like a bomb and so did the pasionfruit drink everyone started to lokk as if something big was going to happened and it did so really that was it everthing exploded and it all ended just kidding.Hope you all enjoyed to losten to my big explpsitary story.
